Team Practice.
The final
team practice for 2009 was held on Tuesday, May
26th. As the team entered its final week of the season we
were looking at a busy period, with practice on Tuesday, a game
on Thursday, two games on Saturday, and then the last game of
the season on Monday, June 1st.

Fall to A's and Barons.
The
2009 Braves began the league season on Friday night, (April
10th) on an exciting note as they mounted a comeback against
the A's, rallying from 10-0 to score 9 runs over the last two
innings to make it a close game before falling to the A's 11-9
in five innings. Game
Summary
Then,
on Saturday, (April 11), the Braves ran into the Barons team
who were as solid on defense as they were on offense.
Unable to mount much offense of our own in the effort, the
Braves lost to the Barons by 15-0 in three innings. Game
Summary
The
Barons and A's teams were the top finishers in the pre-season
tournament, with the Barons defeating the A's for the
championship trophy.

Braves
are 1-2 in Pre-Season Tournament.
The
2009 Braves met three good teams in the CYBA pre-season
tournament and between the Yankees, Diamondbacks and Barons,
the young Braves team managed one win in three tries.
In
game 1 vs the Yankees on Saturday, April 4th, the Braves
scored 3 runs in the third inning and 1 more in the fifth
inning but fell short as the Yankees took the Game by 10-4.
Game Summary
The
Braves came back at 6:00 PM to play game 2 vs the
Diamondbacks. The Braves got off to a 3 run lead in the
first inning, added 3 more in the third inning, and 2 more in
the fourth to defeat the Diamondbacks by an 8-7 score. Game

Game
3 was played on Sunday afternoon, April 5th, vs the Barons
team. The Braves managed 1 run in the first inning and 3
more in the fourth inning, but couldn't catch the Barons,
losing by a 15-4 score. The Barons were the eventual
tournament winners. Game
